Our Director of Content will focus on developing and executing a strategic plan for content marketing that spurs inspiration and creativity for our audience of interior designers, architects, and other design professionals. What you'll do

  • Lead the development of Material Bank’s content strategy to drive engagement with our core members of interior designers and architects
  • Define content roadmaps that focus on short-term wins and longer-term business objectives, such as increased personalization and highly targeted marketing segmentation
  • Track and monitor the competitive landscape of existing content providers within the interior design and architecture communities
  • Lead design thinking efforts to innovate content delivery to our members
  • Lead the creation of key messaging, copy and supporting content across channels including the core website, editorial/blog, in-box, organic social, experiential and event marketing
  • Own and grow our online social community, encourage user-generated content and oversee the day-to-day operations of social media channels including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Define the monthly and quarterly content calendar in partnership with Marketing, Product and Brand Service teams
  • Establish a formal content marketing team by sourcing and working with freelancers as well as hiring and developing strong performers
 

What you'll bring

  • 8+ years professional experience in integrated or content marketing, social media and/or communications
  • Demonstrated success crafting stories and publishing content in a variety of formats across a range of channels
  • Experience in brand management and/or brand building
  • Experience in establishing content quality standards and strategy
  • Experience driving efficiencies in content creation operational workflows
  • Startup experience a plus
